Archana Institute of Technology (ARCHITECH), Vettimukal 

   It is a training, demonstration cum coordination centre at Vettimukal, Ettumanoor for the various AWC projects. It has a three storied building  and annexed facilities for  accommodating up to 50 inmates at a time, a conference hall for 150 persons , kitchen, dining etc. The centre accommodates a Building materials Production unit, a Carpentry unit and has got demonstration programmes in rain water harvesting and storage, ferrocement technology, waste management etc.

Buildtech Bricks Unit, Vettimukal

 A self-help entrepreneurial unit of trained women block makers; it is engaged in production and sale of various kinds of building materials. The income, profits and benefits are proportionately shared among the participants, who are also trained to scrutinize, evaluate and audit basic financial accounts

Build-Tech Woodcrafts Centre, Vettimukal

 This is also another self-help, business-model production unit operated by trained women carpenters. The unit has 12 full-time participant women who produce very exquisite pieces of furniture and modern home furnishing, using modern machineries and tools. The unit has achieved the level of sustainability, and is a success story of women trained – entrepreneurs


Jyothi Centre, Padanthalummodu- Tamil Nadu

Jyothi Center is the office of Jyothi Jeeva Poorna Trust, established in 1992 under Indian Trust act with the register no.50/92. It is in the state of Tamilnadu in Kanyakumari Dt. The centre was already functioning since 1970 as a community development centre with a focus on women and children. At present the centre is catering to more than 1000 families through its various programmes. Self Help groups, training and production in bag making and garments, remedial education centers, special camps and creativity programme for school children, regular house visiting and thrift, house maintenanance and  agricultural services are some of the out standing activities of the center.


Carpentry cum Production Unit, Thelokam

This unit was established in the year 2006. In Nov 2006 the Training and Production Centre for Bamboo technology was started under the guidance & support of the  trainer Mr. Peter & Edwin. In Jan 2007, a Training cum Production centre for Carpentry  was started. This unit is capacitated to produce all kinds of Furniture viz. Doors, Windows, Frames, Shutters, Cots, Tables etc., as per order. Under Ettumanoor Panchayat’s – Ashraya Project, AWC produced furnitures for the panchayat office in the year 2007. 45 Single cots were manufactured for Pambady Panchayat. All orders as per individual request are undertaken for residential(homes as well as flats) and offices, showrooms etc. A carpentry Excellence training with specialization in Kitchen cabinets and Modular kitchens headed by Mr. Wout Strallman, from Netherlands were undertaken, which benefitted the carpenters of the unit to be capable of using the advanced technology and developing an output of international standards.


Community Center, Alappadu- Kollam 

 The community Centre is established in Allappadu panchayat of Kollam district, as a follow up of the Tsunami rehabilitation programme  which JJPT had undertaken in the panchayat. This area had been totally devastated during the tsunami in the year 2004. Many people had lost their lives, houses and all their belongings. Under the leadership of the Director 42 women from the tsunami stricken families were grouped for undergoing training in house construction. POABS, INFARM chairman Fr.Vadakemuryil, and famous engineer Tojo Neriyamparampil and many well wishers joined hands with JJPT –Archana Women’s Center in this training and the rehabilitation process. The women as part of the training constructed 10 houses for which the funds were raised through the the Oblate missionaries of Mary Immaculate and Development and Peace, Canada. The out standing performance of the tsunami stricken women for social transformation and tsunami reconstruction was applauded by the media and broadcast in many channels. The trained women continued to build and earn at par with men and made their life meaningful and contributed to a great cause in a commendable way. The group gathers regularly for reviewing of activities and planning ahead, continuing in various ways their influence in the panchayat and neighbourhood.
